MY JOURNEY IN CHINA
J.KESSON
WHAT NEXT??? WHAT WILL THIS NEW PHASE BRING!!!
Whenever a new phase of life begins, there is always a promise of hope for the future. Being it a milestone, or an anniversary, or the start of a new career, there is always a shining light that promises a future that is brighter at the beginning of every phase of life or a project. The new phase, just like the ending of an old year and the beginning of a new one, always draws in hope and goodwill.
A new phase of the Yunnan University of Finance and Economics has started. Strategically positioned in the city of Anning, this new phase promises a direction that is full of hope, appeal and major infrastructure. This new phase as it was made know, will be well equipped to cater for the needs of all persons enrolled at the school.
What next is the question?? What should be expected from this new phase?? Is there light at the end of this tunnel (new phase) or just a path leading to the end??
With a clear vision in mind and outstanding leadership, it is the hope that the vision adopted for the construction of this new phase will not fade away with time but will be maintained in such a way that the students that pass through the University will make a positive impact on society and the benefits attached to their studies will be seen and enjoyed by all.
THE OLDER, THE BETTER??????? – CHINESE TEA CAKES
Does the old wine tale or the tale of the older man being well behaved than his younger generation also apply to teacakes?
Tea as they say has a calming effect and if used and applied well and these calming effects has an equally associated health benefit on the human body. A trip to the 光崀文创村—明禾茶坊 revealed some of the calming effects of tea. Drinking tea as it was made known is an art, it first begins with a silent meditation, where all worries are just released into the universe to free oneself of all headaches, followed by the art of picking up the teacups and then the art of sipping tea, which involves a three (3) step sipping process.
Just like the drinking of tea, Teacakes in China have a major significance attached to them. However, the significance attached to it is a bit confusing looking at the simplicity of the processes it takes to make one tea cake. These processes aren’t complicated at all. From the experience gathered at the光崀文创村—明禾茶坊 and the knowledge of tea having an expiry date, the questions that linger behind my head is that;
Will these tea cakes be any good in 50 years??, Will these tea cakes still be able to maintain their flavor, texture, and calming effect in 50 years??, Will they be worth much in 50 years??, and above all, just like old wine, will these tea cakes taste better with time.
